About the Company:Axon Moore are delighted to be working with a very well-established business based in Tameside to appoint a Commercial Finance Analyst, which is a key role within the finance FP&A and finance team. The business operates in many locations throughout the UK across various brands and is thriving. The wider business really values the work of the FP&A team, so it’s a great role for exposure and development.We are looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst who will support the FP&A team and collaborate with various departments to give them insight into the finances and enable them to make sound business decisions. Ideally, you will have experience as a Finance Analyst and will have great communication skills. You will be looking at lots of complex data and should enjoy getting into the detail.Salary and Benefits:Salary £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience and qualification. 12% profit based bonus scheme.Hybrid role 2 days in the office with flex on the working hours and location, 5% pension, great location with fantastic tram/train/bus links. 25 days holiday plus banks and the option to buy, employee discount to spend in their locations, access to GP/mental health services and social activities.What we are looking for you to do/key responsibilities:
  • Report to the FP&A Manager
  • Prepare detailed analysis across financial areas such as, costs, variances and profit
  • Maintain financial models and forecasting revenues, expenses and other metrics.
  • Support various other departments including Sales, Marketing and Ops to guide them financially.
  • Producing analysis on product margins, stock and investigating and challenging discrepancies.
  • Analysis on pricing, promotions, new and existing products and other sales activities.
  • Evaluate the viability of new ideas, CAPEX investment and projects.
  • Ongoing maintenance of processes with the IT team to ensure best practice and optimise efficiency.
  • Support the implementation and development of new systems and tools.
  • Any ad-hoc reporting as required.
Professional qualification and competencies:
  • Experienced as a Finance Analyst 3-5 years plus in the role.
  • CIMA/ACCA part or nearly-qualified.
  • Experience in a multi-site set up, stock based industry would be highly beneficial.
  • Intermediate level of competency with Microsoft Excel and the Office package.
  • Experience using Qlik Sense and Power Query would be beneficial.
  • Solid knowledge of the workings of a Finance team, including best practice and working to strict deadlines.
  • Essential to have a common sense approach to dealing with problems.
  • Enthusiastic attitude to resolving issues
  • Ability to clearly express the issue and proposed solution when required in writing or verbally.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
