Role:Head of Finance

Salary:£50 - £60k per annum, dependant on qualifications and experience

Contract type:Permanent

Working hours:Full Time (37.5 hrs pw)

Location:Home based with travel required

Join Standguide as our Head of Finance, a pivotal senior role responsible for overseeing the financial management and reporting for Standguide Group and its subsidiaries. You will ensure financial strategies align with our vision and mission while driving success across our expanding organisation.

What youll do

  • Lead and manage the finance department, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, auditing, and compliance
  • Provide strategic financial advice and guidance to the board, and other stakeholders
  • Ensure the financial sustainability and growth of the company, and identify and mitigate any financial risks
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and systems that align with best practices and regulatory standards
  • Ensure the preparation, presentation and analysis of accurate and timely financial statements and reports to internal and external audiences
  • Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, bankers, insurers, and other financial partners
  • Support the development, financial planning/costing and implementation of new projects, contracts, and funding opportunities.

What youll need

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Relevant Professional Finance/Accounting qualification, i.e. CPA, CMA, CA, ACCA qualification or equivalent
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, which must include a demonstratable ability in financial planning, forecasting and tender evaluation
  • 5+ years' experience of working at a senior level in a finance department, with oversight of general finance ledger duties
  • Working knowledge of Sage accounting packages
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Full UK driving license as role requires travel.

Overseas equivalent qualifications will be accepted.
