Family Solicitor Location: Ashton-under-LynePQE: NQ-4 yearsSalary: Competitive, dependent on experienceA well-established law firm in Ashton-under-Lyne is currently seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to join their dynamic and supportive team. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse family law caseload, working alongside a close-knit group of legal professionals.Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a varied caseload involving divorce, financial remedy disputes, civil partnership disputes, and issues related to unmarried and cohabiting couples' rights.
  • Undertake advocacy in family law cases, representing clients in court when required.
  • Provide comprehensive legal advice, ensuring clients’ interests are safeguarded throughout the legal process.
  • Participate in the firm’s Legal Surgery sessions, offering free advice to clients through drop-in services and external advice sessions with local organizations.
  • Collaborate with the Family Law Team to manage new enquiries and support ongoing cases.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving family law.
Candidate Requirements:
  • A qualified Family Law Solicitor with NQ-4 years PQE.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a varied family law caseload, particularly in financial remedy disputes.
  • Strong advocacy skills and experience representing clients in court.
  • Ability to work autonomously while delivering excellent client care.
  • A proactive approach to contributing to community outreach and advice sessions.
