Job Summary: The Technical Manager will oversee the technical aspects of our client's Red Meat operations, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards, and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing technical teams, implementing quality control measures, and liaising with regulatory bodies to maintain high standards of product integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with relevant regulations, including FDA and USDA guidelines.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality control procedures to maintain product standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the technical team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and compliance.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance on meat processing, packaging, and safety protocols.
  • Audit Management: Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve technical issues related to production and quality.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of compliance, quality control, and regulatory activities.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with regulatory bodies, customers, and internal teams to ensure transparency and compliance.
  • Training: Conduct training sessions for staff on regulatory requirements and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in food science, Animal Science, or a related field is advantageous. 
  • In-depth knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations.
