Part-Time Receptionist to start on 6th January 2025
Mossley, Cheshire
- £12972 per annum (£12 per hour)
- Part-time hours Monday to Wednesday 9am to 5pm with one hour unpaid lunch
- 20 days pro rata holiday = 12 days per year increasing with length of service, birthday holiday, bonus Christmas shopping day in December

Are you an experienced Receptionist looking for a new opportunity? Our client are a friendly firm of Solicitors, based in Mossley, North West and they are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Receptionist to join their team on a permanent basis. If you are a friendly and professional individual with excellent organizational skills, we want to hear from you!
Job Responsibilities and duties include:
- Greet and welcome visitors in a polite and professional manner
- Answer and direct phone calls efficiently
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages
- Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the office
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area
- Take details of all new enquiries to pass to fee earners
- Greeting clients/suppliers/visitors to premises in a professional and friendly manner and offering refreshments if required
- Opening, accurate scanning and distribution of daily post to fee earners
- Using franking machine, preparing and sending outgoing mail and arranging courier or Post Office deliveries as required
- Taking outgoing post to local post office on way home • Assisting with closing and archiving files for fee earners, and retrieving files from archive
- Keeping an inventory of stationery and water supply and ordering and moving same
- Liaising with photocopier and franking machine suppliers in case of repair/fault
- Ordering photocopier toner replacement • Diarising client/supplier meetings for fee earners as required and booking meeting rooms
- Using case management system (ALB) to record telephone calls • General filing, photocopying and scanning as required • Case-related tasks as required by fee earners
Characteristics of a Successful Candidate:
- Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office and other common office software
- High level of professionalism and a friendly demeanor
