Prospero Teaching are looking for a QTS qualified Food Technology Teacher to work in a secondary school in Tameside, Greater Manchester on a full-time basis to start in January until July. It is essential that you are a Qualified Teacher and that you are qualified to teach food technology to key stage 3 & 4 pupils. The department has a technician to assist during practical lessons. You will be expected to attend departmental meetings as well as parents evenings during the second part of spring term. The role is open to ECTs as well as full qualified teachers. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location Tameside Position Food Technology Teacher Start date January 2025 End date - July 2025 (with possibility to become permanent) Full time Minimum rate of pay GBP162.31 per day Hours 8:20 am 4pm EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS QTS, QTLS, PGCE, GTP, SCITT or equivalent Previous experience teaching in a UK school Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide training) Up to date prevent Awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, we can provide training) Recent food technology teaching experience in the UK preferred TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide a minimum of two professional child related references Provide a full CV covering the last 10 years If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
