Job Purpose:
- To review, develop, and implement systems and processes that support learners, staff, and other stakeholders within the MIS team.
- To review, develop, and maintain the MIS reporting suite and create web-based applications that support teaching, learning, and assessment.
- To ensure that corporate and reporting systems meet both current and future requirements, both internally and externally.
- To work independently and as part of the wider MIS team.
- Ensure that reporting and information systems meet business needs, with systems in place to accurately and promptly record and report data.
- Develop and implement systems and processes that support all aspects of student administration.
- Review, develop, and maintain a comprehensive suite of reports to meet internal and external reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with the Senior MIS Systems and Reports Developer, Head of MIS & iZone, and colleagues across the organisation to understand current and future reporting requirements, and implement solutions to meet these needs.
- Lead ad hoc data and system projects to support the development of the data reporting structure.
- Develop applications that meet data collection and reporting requirements, complementing existing systems, and supporting strategic aims related to teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Document reports and applications to ensure end users understand their use and structure.
- Review, develop, and maintain tasks and workflows to support systems and procedures.
- Be an expert user of the MIS systems and develop a comprehensive understanding of underlying data structures.
- Support the IT team with performance, planning, maintenance, and implementation of software upgrades for MIS-related systems.
- Provide excellent service to learners, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Actively engage in developing and promoting the department's operational plan.
- Contribute to achieving the organisation's strategic aims and development plans.
