Job Description: Industrial Cleaner/Hygiene Operative
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Industrial Cleaner/ Hygiene Operative to join our Quality Department. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining high hygiene standards across the site. This role will be based in manufacturing areas and will require you to have a positive work attitude and keep safe on the site andassociated areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow Health & Safety and Hygiene protocols
- Perform daily cleaning tasks
- Dismantle and clean machinery and parts
- Clean processing equipment, production lines, and areas
- Conduct deep cleaning and post-cleaning checks
- Ensure proper functioning of cleaning and personal protective equipment
- Report incidents or environmental concerns to the line manager
Skills and Knowledge:
- Positive attitude and keen attention to detail
- Comfortable with personal protective equipment and cleaning chemicals
- Previous experience in a production facility hygiene role is advantageous
Personal Attributes:
- Self-motivated with a high level of fitness
- Strong communication skills to understand and report technical cleaning requirements
- Ability to work in various environments, often loud and hot
- Capable of working at height and in confined spaces
- Comfortable using mechanical cleaning aids
- Proactive in driving key actions and maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Performance Measures:

Other Requirements:
- Ability to commute to the site, located in a rural area with poor public transport links
