Contek Recruitment are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a well-established Aerospace manufacturing company, based inAtherstone.
This company have been operating for over 50 years, due to growth and an ever growing order book they are now looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team.
Experience working within a Quality Engineer role in a manufacturing facility (Such as machining, fabricating or similar environments) is essential to be successful in this position along with a good understanding of ISO9001 and AS9100.
Requirements:
- A good understanding of engineering drawings.
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions where necessary.
- Methodical, with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to interpret ISO standards for product tolerances/compliance
- Ability to write work instructions for new products & changes to existing products.
- Knowledge and experience of working to ISO9001 and AS9100.
- Experienced in MS Office.
- Experience with Net-Inspect is desirable.
- Experience with customer portals and Q Pulse software.
- Solid understanding of FAI and PPQ requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Product approvals via the FAI process.
- Product approvals via the PPQ process.
- Generating and monitoring the machine shop KPI`s on a weekly / monthly basis.
- Reporting to the quality and production manager.
- Monitor supplier performance (PPM).
- Monitor customer (PPM)
- Monitoring and reporting on all continual improvement programmes & actives in company (PMS & 8D activities).
- Generating PIRs / 8D reports to aid Concessions / Production permits.
- Liaise with suppliers on non-conformances, and improvement activities.
- Liaise with customers of all levels regarding quality.
- Reviewing supplier documentation for conformance.
- Reviewing and ballooning drawings, creation and maintenance of inspection plans
- Review specifications stated on drawings.
- Generation and maintenance of FMEAs / Control plans & process flows.
- Raising concessions / Production permits as required.
- Generation of source changes requests.
Working Hours:Monday to Thursday (07:30 AM until 16:00 PM) and Friday (07:30 AM until 15:00 PM).
