Pollution Control Officer needed in Atherstone Paying £17.64 per hr Ref 5258699

Full time time on a temporary basis

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the Contaminated Land Inspection Strategy and provide advice on remediation.

  • Identify, investigate, and monitor air, land, noise, and water pollution.

  • Take acoustic measurements and interpret data to secure environmental improvements.

  • Process applications for permits, inspect premises, and ensure compliance with permit conditions.

  • Identify areas for environmental improvement and prepare strategies in collaboration with others.

  • Support ongoing assessment and implementation of air quality strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with performance indicators and targets in Divisional and Corporate Plans.

  • Conduct environmental monitoring, inspections, and re-inspections.

  • Enforce environmental health legislation relevant to pollution control.

  • Liaise with consultants on section duties and responsibilities.

  • Develop and modify policies as required by legislation or circumstances.

  • Act as a departmental consultee on pollution-related planning applications and land search enquiries.

  • Organize and deliver promotional activities on pollution issues.
