National IT have an exciting opportunity for a talented IT Professional to join the NIT Bardon Project Team. The role will initially support the project team from a software and automation testing perspective whilst then transitioning to onsite software and hardware support for the Bardon Distribution Centre (DC) once live.The ideal candidate will have experience of working within automated distribution center’s and providing IT support to the DC end users from a software and hardware perspective. Knowledge and experience of working with IT teams to deliver successful software transformations is required. Experience with integrating and/or operating Manhattan Warehouse Management Systems into Automated Warehouses and the Warehouse Control Systems is desirable. You will ensure constructive working relationships are maintained with internal and external stakeholders of all levels. The role will involve working closely with the business, IIT and our 3rd party suppliers, ensuring projects, are delivered and transition to BAU in a controlled manner.It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have strong previous experience in a similar role and must have experience of working as part of an IT support function within an automated DC.Candidates will be located in Atherstone whilst the site is being constructed and then based permanently at Bardon. However, flexibility to travel is required.Key Responsibilities:•Develops and maintains positive working relationships with the internal project teams and external partners to ensure close collaboration and successful transition to live.•Ensure the Warehouse Management System and Warehouse Control software uptime is maintained to the agreed service levels.•Coordinate software incidents across various DC applications and stakeholders, ensuring that acceptable solutions are found in a timely manner.•Manages ALDI partners within contract guidelines, ensuring performance and Service Level Agreements are monitored and recorded to aid in continuous improvement.•Ensure change control procedures are adhered too for site applications.•Testing and Deployment support for site applications•Works closely with stakeholders across the project and wider business to ensure consistency, alignment and efficiency where departments overlap, acting as an interpreter between business stakeholders and the technical teams.•Use your business knowledge and logical thinking to add a practical element to deployment and downtime planning.•Identifies, investigates and proposes best practices to deliver a ‘Best in Class’ service to business end users.About you: •Supply Chain, Warehouse Automation experience working with automation vendors (desirable)•Working as part of an IT support function within an automated warehouse (desirable)•Used to working in a fast-paced automated environment.•Experience of stakeholder management at all levels.•Experienced in raising tickets to automation vendors.•Able to prioritise tickets based on business need/impact.•Warehouse Automation software testing.•Incident coordination.•End User device support.•Strong Communicator.•Service Level Agreement knowledge.•Commercial acumen.What You'll Get In Return:•Starting salary from £30,870 - £34,500. • 40 hours per week on a rota basis, to mirror the Warehouse Operations•5 weeks’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays•In-Office flexi time•Full training provided•Pension Scheme•Private employee medical insurance after 4 years•Company sick pay scheme•Company maternity and adoption pay after 1 year and paternity leave pay after 2 years•Long service rewards.•Access to MyBenefits, where you can find a wide range of benefits, including our bike to work scheme, shopping and cinema discounts, health cash plan, a FREE will, travel and discounted gym memberships, as well as a host of benefits to support your financial and wellbeing needs.•Access to a free, 24/7, confidential virtual GP service for all Aldi Colleagues and their children (under the age of 16)*You’ll need to live within 90 minutes of your main working locationAldi is an equal opportunities employer.
