Your New Role:
As an Asset Assistant you will be responsible for maintaining the asset registers for our GB and IE businesses. You will be responsible for capitalizing new assets, including approving purchase orders placed in SAP Ariba for asset equipment. You will also be responsible for managing the land and building assets in our Real Estate portfolio. This includes the purchase of new sites, extensions and projects, plus demolitions and site sales. Reporting to the Asset Team Leader, you will have responsibility for your own area whist working as part of a busy team. Key Responsibilities:• Process and capitalise asset costs• Administer and maintain a centralised asset register• Liaise with other departments regarding assets classification, investigating and responding to questions• Prepares month-end asset tasks in Blackline• Liaise with internal and external auditors when requiredAbout You:• AAT Level 4 • Accounting & Finance degree (desirable)• SAP experience is preferred, although not essential• Relevant asset accounts experience • High attention to detail• Inputting data quickly and accurately• Strong work ethic• Driven• Able to work under pressure, multi task and prioritise workload• Self-motivated and works effectively with minimal supervision• Well organised• Works in a structured, methodical manner• Takes personal responsibility for resolving queries and issues• Uses initiative• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel• Clear communicator • Team playerÂ
