San Giovanni is a family run independent business located in the Midlands, halfway between Birmingham and Leicester and is an idyllic lakeside venue. Our setting is a big draw for our clientele and provides fantastic views. San Giovanni is a well renowned Italian restaurant and bar having been open for 18 years and have recently just won the award of Best Restaurant in our region. We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual withat least 5 years experienceof working within a professional restaurant setting to join our family.

We are currently on the lookout for an additional restaurant manager to work alongside the current manager and under our general manager in the day to day running of our busy restaurant. We are open from midday 7 days a week and being able to work weekends and evenings is essential due to the nature of the business.

We are looking for a motivated and trustworthy individual to bring something new to our current front of house team and continue to drive our business forward. This could be a great new challenge for the right individual.

Key responsibilities you have will include:

  • Interacting with our clientele to provide excellent customer service
  • Being able to confidently manage a team of staff and to motivate them on a day to day basis
  • Deal with busy footfall of the restaurant
  • Being able to work with our Epos till systems
  • Daily use of our reservations system Open Table and responding to email and telephone reservations
  • Being able to process orders for wines, linen etc
  • Produce weekly rotas to efficiently staff the restaurant
  • Be a key holder of the premises
  • Take payments of both cash and card transactions and to cash up at the end of day
  • To support and train new staff that come into the restaurant
  • Deal appropriately with any customer requests that are put to you
  • Liaising with the kitchen team to ensure quality of food and correct presentation

Salary is dependent on experience and tips are on top of this and the job includes many perks.

Due to our location driving is advantageous.
