ALDI are looking for a Manhattan WMOS Technical Analyst to join the ALDI National IT Logistics Warehouse Management team.This is an IT role that is part of an implementation team, deploying Manhattan WMS to ALDI Warehouses. Technical knowledge and experience of Manhattan WMS is essential along with having solid IT skills and a strong understanding of logistics and warehouse operations. 

The day to day of the role will be varied as we progress through the various stages of multiple deployments, however the role is of a technical nature. The successful applicant will be a subject matter expert and be required to work with multiple business teams and IT teams to ensure the successful configuration and setup of Manhattan WMOS, in addition to providing technical support of complex issues and the successful implementation of changes and improvements.

The role is based in Tamworth, but the candidate will be required to travel regularly as needed and to be flexible with working times during deployment activities.

  • Maintain an understanding of user requirements and open issues for area of responsibility and take action to resolve these
  • Liaise with project leads to adopt and action any changes where these relate to applicable business area  
  • Using various channels of communication liaise with stakeholders across all levels within the company, as well as external partners 
  • Co-ordinate and direct colleagues, consultants, contractors, vendors, and suppliers as required
  • Assisting with the Deployment of Manhattan solutions and providing hypercare support
  • Assisting with Manhattan configuration topics
  • Assisting with implementing changes
  • Assisting with data creation and solution testing
  • Keep up to date with operational business processes and identify systematic improvements
  • Explore new technical approaches and identify systematic improvements
  • Troubleshooting issues and providing technical support
  • Assisting with all relevant project tasks
  • Manage tickets, problems, requests, tasks and demands end to end
  • Create and maintain relevant documentation for releases and enhancements

About You:

  • Have enthusiasm and interest in building cross-disciplinary knowledge around Manhattan and upstream/downstream systems
  • Be technically minded with a passion for working in a fast-paced environment
  • Have experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment
  • Be highly self-motivated and inquisitive
  • Have technical knowledge of Warehouse Management Solutions, ideally Manhattan
  • Have good knowledge and experience of using SQL (Oracle preferably), having skills such as SQL analysis, database interrogation, query writing, and data reporting.
  • Be highly proficient with Microsoft applications - Outlook, One Note, PowerPoint, Excel etc
