NXTGEN is working with a small but well-established Chartered Accountants in Attleborough to recruit an Accountant who will join their friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with a background in practice who is looking for an all-encompassing role within a local firm that truly values its employees and clients. This role would be perfect for anyone looking to move away from a corporate or stressful environment, and looking to go to work, do a good job and leave it at the door!

Due to recent organic growth, this firm is in a position to tailor the role to your skills and experience, including full-time and part-time options. This role will require a focus on accounts preparation, tax, and bookkeeping, they are happy to shape the position around your strengths. As part of a small, close-knit team, you'll be working with a diverse portfolio of clients, providing high-quality accounting services and developing strong relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing year-end accounts for a variety of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
  • Preparing and submitting tax returns
  • Providing bookkeeping services and assisting with VAT returns
  • Supporting clients with queries and ensuring they receive an outstanding service

What we're looking for:

  • Experience working within an accountancy practice is a must
  • AAT, ACCA/ACA Studier or QBE
  • Strong knowledge of accounts preparation
  • A client-focused approach with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
