Job Title: Project Engineer – Fire Protection Systems Location: Norfolk, UK Job Description: We are seeking a talented Project Engineer with a strong background in fire protection systems to oversee and manage projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex fire protection projects on time and within budget, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Lead and manage fire protection system projects, ensuring all deliverables meet client specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Design & Implementation: Collaborate with clients and design teams to develop detailed fire protection system designs, including fire alarms, sprinklers, and suppression systems.
  • Coordination: Oversee project activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with contractors and suppliers.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all projects comply with local, national, and international fire safety codes and standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular progress reports, including financial updates, to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Client Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in project engineering with a focus on fire protection systems.
  • Certification: Relevant certifications in fire protection or engineering (e.g., NEBOSH, IFE) are highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in fire protection system design, installation, and maintenance, with a solid understanding of fire safety regulations.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience managing projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder communication.
