Job Advertisement: Mathematics Teacher (Part-time and Full-time)

Working Hours: Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (08:15 AM - 03:30 PM); Full-time from 22nd April 2025(08:15 AM - 03:30 PM)
Role Overview:
- Part-time (3 days per week): From now until Easter (Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 08:15 AM to 03:30 PM).
- Full-time: From April 22nd to July 22nd, 2025 (Monday to Friday, 08:15 AM to 03:30 PM).
- Start Date: As soon as possible.
- End Date: July 22nd, 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons to students in Key Stages 3 & 4 (ages 11-16).
- Plan and prepare lessons in line with the school curriculum, ensuring a structured, engaging, and differentiated approach to teaching.
- Mark student work regularly, providing constructive feedback to promote improvement.
- Assess student progress, track attainment, and implement strategies to support students at different levels of ability.
- Create a positive and motivating classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for Mathematics.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency across the Mathematics department and share best practices.
- Provide additional support to students who need extra help, ensuring that all students are challenged and supported in their learning.
- Participate in departmental meetings, contribute to curriculum planning, and engage in professional development opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong experience teaching Mathematics at Key Stages 3 & 4.
- A clear commitment to delivering high-quality lessons, with strong planning and marking skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
- Excellent organisational skills, particularly in managing lesson planning, marking, and assessment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about helping students succeed in Mathematics and preparing them for their GCSEs.
