HR Advisor – Norfolk

Contract Personnel are looking for an experienced HR Advisor for a well-established client based in Norfolk to join their friendly team.

How does the day-to-day look?

  • Recruitment and staffing – assist with attracting, selecting and hiring to fill job vacancies including developing job descriptions and posting vacancies.
  • Onboarding - to assist with the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring they have information, resources and training necessary to fit quickly into the department/business.
  • Training & Development – oversee employee training to enhance skills and knowledge ensuring employees have the skills required to fulfil their roles to support the business.
  • Employee Relations – addressing workplace conflicts, grievances and concerns and play a role in fostering a positive work environment and resolving disputes.
  • Legal compliance – ensures the organisation complies with employment law and regulations and workplace safety standards. 
  • Prepare legal documentation relating to contracts, terminations and disputes.
  • HR Information System – maintain employee records, track attendance, oversee weekly and monthly payroll and generate reports.
  • Support management in ensuring that the absence management policy is being adhered to.
  • Manage exit interviews and paperwork related to resignations or terminations.
  • Bridge any gap between management and employees.
  • Health & Safety – assist in creating and implementing health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain employee information and documentation in line with compliance and audit requirements.
  • Undertake duties of a general nature or additional tasks as may be required from time to time as required by the HR Manager.

You will have:

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen and effectively verbalise ideas.
  • A solid understanding of the principles of employment law.
  • The ability to remain calm in stressful situations including during disciplinary hearings or staff conflicts.
  • Solid ethics and morals and sound judgement.
  • Reliability, tolerance and determination.
  • Relevant HR qualification.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
