We are supporting a leading food processor that is expanding at pace as they near record production levels. To compliment this growth they are seeking an additional shift team leader to work on a 5on/5off days and nights rotation. You will be supervising 3 Engineers on shift, leading by example. You will be expected to co-ordinate all aspects of frontline maintenance, breakdown response, improvement projects and preventative maintenance. The shift team leader will be instrumental in promoting increased skilling of their team.  Ideally you will have worked within a the food sector previously, but this is not essential. The business welcomes applications from engineers with either mechanical or electrical bias.There are multiple opportunities for career advancement for the right individual!Core duties include:  
  • Carry out engineering work to good standard, safely and in timely manner
  • Respond to breakdowns quickly to minimise production downtime
  • Ensure workshop is kept to a good standard, clean and tidy.
  • Supervision of all shift engineering tasks.
  • Liaise with production and organise/direct team of engineers to carry out workload and to prioritise work in best interests of production and company
  • Ensure Breakdowns are attended promptly and carried out safely and to an acceptable standard
  • Ensure routine maintenance is carried out to a sufficient standard
  • Implement/oversee safe temporary repairs where production restrictions apply and arrange permanent repairs in production down time
