We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with extensive experience in construction to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a sharp commercial mindset, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for growing within the company. This role offers the opportunity to handle QS and Commercial duties on projects ranging from 100k to 5m. They supply Design and Build Industrial, Commercial and Agricultural buildings across the Norfolk and surrounding areas.

Key Duties:

  • Manage Change Control: Handle pricing, identify, and negotiate variations.
  • Cost Management: Assist with cost to complete and cost value reconciliations on projects.
  • Payments: Raise applications for payments and negotiate/agree with clients.
  • Commercial Input: Provide input into production and monitor/update project programs.
  • Client & Supplier Relations: Liaise with clients and suppliers to build relationships.
  • Procurement: Work with the Procurement Manager to procure materials and subcontracts.
  • Contractual Advice: Provide commercial and contractual advice across the business.
  • Estimating Support: Assist the Estimating department with commercial input and estimate preparation.
  • Site & Office Work: Be available to work at both head office and various site locations.

Key Skills:

  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in quantity surveying, with specific experience in main - contracting or steelwork.
  • Commercial & Financial Knowledge: Strong budgeting and financial understanding.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • Education: BSc in Quantity Surveying or HNC equiv.
