Quantity Surveyor
Location: Attleborough
Salary: Up to 50,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm (40 hours per week)

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the lead on commercially high-impact projects within a fast-paced and growing organisation? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business within the fire protection industry, where you'll provide critical commercial support across all areas of the business.

About the Role:
As Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate commercial records, ensuring full compliance with contractual obligations, and managing key communications around variations, claims, and additional payments. Your commercial insight will directly influence the profitability and successful delivery of ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Management & Commercial Support

  • Conduct feasibility and cost analysis for project work
  • Prepare and review tender documents to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Manage bills of quantities, value engineering and cost control activities
  • Monitor changes in project scope and adjust financial forecasts accordingly
  • Maintain health and safety compliance within commercial activities

Contract & Financial Management

  • Review, negotiate and manage contract documentation, identifying risks
  • Lead on contractual claims and dispute resolutions
  • Produce monthly cost value reconciliations (CVRs) and maintain cost reporting
  • Manage cash flow forecasts and financial performance reporting

Internal & External Collaboration

  • Liaise effectively with design, sales, finance, and operations teams
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and third-party stakeholders
  • Ensure all contracts include robust and appropriate terms and conditions

About You:

  • HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification
  • Experience within fire protection or construction-related environments
  • Strong understanding of JCT/NEC contracts and construction law
  • Confident in financial reporting, commercial management, and negotiations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial reporting tools
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
