We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled and proactive Quantity Surveyor to support a range of installation and construction projects. If you're commercially minded, detail-focused, and ready to make a measurable impact, this could be your ideal next role.
Role Overview
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial success and commercial integrity of each project. You'll be responsible for cost planning, contract management, and stakeholder engagement, helping to deliver projects on time, on budget, and in line with all compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Management & Commercial Support
Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis
Prepare and review tender documentation
Create bills of quantities and manage cost, value, and risk
Track and manage project changes and financial impacts
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Contract & Financial Management
Review, negotiate, and manage contracts
Lead on contractual claims and dispute resolution
Maintain accurate forecasting, cost tracking, and reporting
Produce monthly CVRs and commercial strategies
Internal & External Collaboration
Work closely with commercial, design, sales, finance, and operations teams
Maintain strong client relationships and manage external stakeholders
Ensure accurate and compliant contract terms are in place
What We're Looking For
Qualifications and Experience
HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
Previous experience in fire protection systems is desirable
Familiarity with JCT/NEC contracts and construction law
Proven track record in commercial management and reporting
Skills
Excellent communication and time management skills
Strong financial acumen and analytical thinking
Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial reporting tools

High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Special Requirements
Full UK driving licence
Willingness to travel as required
Ability to obtain security clearance if needed
