As we look ahead to an exciting future, we are searching for an enthusiastic and dedicated Distribution & Logistics Manager to join Depot based in Auchtermuchty!

About the Role:

We are looking for a Distribution & Logistics Manager to support our Head of Distribution in the transformation of our logistics and distribution operations.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in implementing new systems from scratch, particularly in businesses transitioning from legacy systems or traditional practices to more modern, efficient solutions.

You will oversee operations across multiple sites including Auchtermuchty, Tillicoultry & Glasgow, ensuring streamlined processes and future-ready systems, driving continuous improvement and efficiency in the movement of goods whilst delivering an exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Support the adoption of new logistics systems, replacing legacy methods to enhance operational efficiency across multiple sites.
  • Manage delivery scheduling, optimize routes, and control costs to ensure timely, efficient shipments.
  • Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring inventory control, safe loading, and stock security at all locations.
  • Monitor and reduce operational costs while maintaining service quality and efficiency.
  • Develop and support logistics and warehouse teams through training, performance management, and collaboration across sites.
  • Ensure all operations meet industry regulations and company safety standards, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Track KPIs and operational data to identify improvements and implement necessary changes.
  • Align logistics with company operations to ensure smooth communication and efficient workflows.
  • Ensure timely, accurate deliveries and resolve customer issues promptly to maintain high service standards.


About You:

With extensive experience in implementing logistics and distribution systems, particularly for businesses transitioning from legacy practices, you excel in managing multi-site operations.

Your expertise spans logistics coordination, warehouse management, delivery scheduling, and cost control.

As a strong leader, you build strong relationships, develop teams across locations and have the ability to influence others ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards are met.

Your problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills enable seamless collaboration and operational optimisation.

Ideally, you have a higher education in Distribution, Logistics & Supply Chain along with 2-5 years of practical experience in a real-life setting.
