Location: Office Base is Cupar, Fife (Role Covering Scotland)

Salary: Up to £30,000 + 3% Commission on Contracts and Equipment Sales

Hours: 9am - 5pm

Talento Group is recruiting for our client, John White & Sons who are a leading provider of high-quality weighing equipment and solutions, serving businesses across multiple sectors. With a heritage dating back to 1715, they pride themselves on offering innovative, reliable, and bespoke weighing systems tailored to meet the needs of their clients.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, results-driven Business Development Manager to join their team and contribute to their continued success by expanding their client base and driving new equipment sales across Scotland.

Role Overview:

As a Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be to secure new contracts and generate sales for our range of weighing equipment. You will actively seek out potential clients, build strong relationships, and understand their specific needs to propose suitable solutions. The role will involve extensive travel across Scotland, including occasional trips to Shetland, to meet clients and close deals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities by targeting prospective clients across various industries in Scotland.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of new contracts for weighing equipment solutions.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting client relationships, offering exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations to showcase our product range and capabilities.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of sold products and services.
  • Achieve sales targets and KPIs, with the opportunity to earn 3% commission on each contract and equipment sale.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of our product offerings and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, reports, and updates to senior management.
  • Travel extensively across Scotland to meet with clients, including occasional travel to Shetland if required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in a technical, B2B, or industrial sector.
  • Strong understanding of the sales process with a track record of closing deals and meeting targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel extensively across Scotland.
  • Knowledge of weighing equipment or related industries would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
