Carrington West are pleased to offer this outstanding vacancy with one of the most innovative and progressive consultancies in the civil engineering / infrastructure market. Our client has an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join their established civil engineering team in Hungerford.

路You will assist in the production of drawings, specifications and reports to support the project team[s].
路You will have demonstrable previous experience in the field of civil infrastructure.
路You will be committed to your own professional development, ideally be working towards an appropriate chartership and looking for challenging work to develop your engineering skills.

Your Experience:

路You will have a degree in Civil Engineering and demonstrable experience in design in accordance with the DMRB and SHW or other internationally recognized design standard and specifications.

路Competence in the detailed design of roads, geometry, surface and sub-surface drainage and integrating these designs to deliver a project.

路Experience of foul and surface water drainage design to British Standards or similar, and CIRIA's SuDS Manual.

路Understanding of key drivers of drainage design, such as planning, flood risk, ground conditions, levels, existing systems, etc.

路Good communication skills in written and spoken English and you are happy to present your design to others.

路Competence in an AutoCAD and PDS.

路Competence in drainage design, including use of modelling software such as Microdrainage.

路Ability to communicate technical issues to professionals and clients.

路Success of working in a team environment.

路Able to take responsibility for own work (of different scales and types) and that of junior/apprentice engineers and technicians. Includes the ability to oversee submission of work and balance your own workload against project requirements.

路Ability and familiarity in the use of Microsoft Office.

路Ability to work on multiple projects.
