Acquisition and Integration Accountant, Aylesbury (Hybrid working)£85- £95kpa plus benefits including bonus This role will play a key part supporting the business to establish the new accounting, reporting and operational requirements of the expanding Group structure, with involvement in the transactions before, during and post-completion. The principal responsibility is to support the implementation of new accounting and tax arrangements in the new Group, and as such will have appropriate technical accounting experience to provide the expertise required for the role.Ideally this would include experience with various transaction mechanisms e.g asset purchase, completion accounts and locked box, Purchase Price Allocation (PPA) exercises, and application of IFRS 13 to determine the accounting treatment of transactions and acquisition costs.Key Duties:-* Work with Corporate Finance to shape new transactions in order to be optimal to the business from an accounting and tax perspective* Determine the appropriate accounting treatment of transactions, including PPA exercises, the development of technical accounting papers and liaison with the external auditors* Deliver the completion accounts for new business acquisitions and work with 3rd party advisors throughout the process, including management of transaction dispute mechanisms if required* Monitor transaction fees to track actual fees vs budget, ensure settlement to terms and correct accounting* Liaise with 3rd party advisors on post completion activities to embed acquisitions into the business* Support the implementation of new accounting, reporting and system requirements post completion of property acquisitions and new entity structures* Work with the property finance team, the property team and the third party tax advisors to ensure delivery of post completion tax actions and compliance with the ongoing tax requirements for the new structures* Develop and implement any newly required policies for the acquired operations, including application of corporate governance and internal controls.The successful candidate will be fully qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) and have demonstrable experience on acquisitions.
