Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver with hook loader experience to join our clientsteam on a temp-to-perm basis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in HGV Class 2 driving and be familiar with the operation of hook loaders. This role involves the transportation of goods, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of loads, and adherence to all traffic regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles with hook loaders for the collection and delivery of goods.
- Safely load and unload goods using the hook loader system.
- Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed on time and in compliance with company policies.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any issues or defects to the relevant personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and any incidents.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service during collections and deliveries.
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licensewith no more than 6penalty points (if applicable).
- At least 1 year of experiencedriving HGV Class 2 vehicles.
- Experience with hook loadersis essential.
- A validDriver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
- A validDigi Tacho Card.
- Excellent driving skills and road safety awareness.
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and with a strong work ethic.
