CK Group are recruiting for a Technical Sales Representative to join a Chemical manufacturing company at their site based in Aylesbury, on a full time, permanent basis. The role will involve travel across the UK, so a full UK driving licenceis an essential requirement.

The Company is a manufacturer and independent distributor of raw materials and speciality chemicals, for the UK and European Personal Care industry.



Location:
The Technical Sales Representative will be based at the company's site in Aylesbury, easily commutable by road from High Wycombe, Hemel Hempstead, Leighton Buzzard, Luton andSt Albans.



Technical Sales Representative Role:
Your main duties will be:

  • Developing a strong technical understanding of the company's range of ingredients, their chemistry, benefits and formulation characteristics.
  • Understanding customer needs
  • Communicating scientific information clearly and concisely
  • Supporting customers throughout the development process of a new product
  • Helping the company's Technical Development Chemists to create new Personal Care formulations
  • Visiting UK customers to develop long-term working relationships with their R&D, Purchasing and Marketing teams
  • Maintaining existing business relationships and creating new opportunities with existing customers
  • Identifying and sourcing new business opportunities
  • Attending relevant meetings, seminars, exhibitions and symposiain the Cosmetic industry to increase knowledge


Your Background, skills and experience:

  • Degree in Chemistry-related or Life Science-related subject - essential
  • Full UK Driving licence and the ability and inspiration to travel - essential
  • Exceptional communication skills - essential
  • Scientific approach to problem solving
  • Ability to learn and understand new technologies quickly
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Prior Sales experience - desired
  • Customer-service orientated
