Sub Agent - (Structures and Civils Experience)

Location: Aylesbury (HP18)

Salary: £55,000 (Permanent)

Client:

This client is a joint venture bringing together expertise from four leading international civil engineering and construction companies, renowned for their work in railway network projects, and are looking for a Sub Agent to join the team in Aylesbury.

As a Sub Agent you will:

  • Support the construction strategy, which includes organising kick-off meetings
  • Preparing essential pre-commencement documentation (such as Method Statements, Environmental and Quality Plans, and Construction programmes)
  • Managing procurement and design deliverable schedules.

The role will involve close collaboration with the Agent and Section Foreman to allocate resources such as labour, plant, materials, and temporary works, ensuring the project runs to the required standards, within the set programme and budget. A key responsibility will be overseeing the site engineering team, contributing to the development and performance of site and Section Engineers, and assisting with coordinating construction operations in line with contract specifications, as well as upholding health, safety, environment, and quality (SHEQ) standards.

In addition, the Sub Agent will assist with the creation of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans, while playing an active role in financial forecasting, site measurements, material reconciliations, and overall cost control efforts.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent
  • Structures experience
  • CSCS Requirement (one of the following): Black, White, White/Yellow, Yellow, or Red Experienced
  • SMSTS Certification
  • Strong knowledge and experience in site engineering activities and construction supervision
  • Experience in quality assurance and geotechnical management is preferred
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Full driving license required
