Field Service Engineer required. Our client has specialised in foundation piling and drilling equipment for over 30 years. They are now looking for a Field Service Engineer due to the growth of the business.

Successful candidtates will have good experience with hydraulic systems and electrical systems PLC controls and CAN-Bus systems. The job will include covering the whole of the Uk and Ireland. This will be for large commercial clients including Balfour Beatty, Laing O'Rourke to small SME's. Candidates will have experience with CAN-Bus, PWM signals, fly by wire hydraulic systems and the electrical side of Heavy Plant.

Field Service Engineer Position Overview

  • Servicing TTC controllers but not programming
  • Input and outputs as well as fault finding using pressure gauges
  • Cam lines for resistance
  • Machine diagnostics, mechanical, hydraulic, electric 12/24v, electronic, CAN-Bus.
  • Commissioning of equipment, assembly, testing and training of operators.
  • Servicing of equipment, filters, oils, etc.
  • Assistance to dealers and customers by telephone and email.
  • Machine reconditioning in the Aylesbury Workshop
  • Maintenance of workshop and yard.

Field Service Engineer Position Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in a similar position.
  • Minimum NVQ level 2 in heavy plant mechanics/ plant maintenance/ piling rigs or similar
  • Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics
  • Experience with CAN-Bus, PWM signals, fly by wire hydraulic systems and the electrical side of Heavy Plant.
  • CSCS card and IPAF desirable.
  • Must live within 1 hour of Aylesbury

Field Service Engineer Position Remuneration

  • Salary: £38,000 - £55,000
  • Working Hours: 8-5:30
  • Holiday Package: 25 days + 8BH
  • Overtime paid from door to door.
  • Occasional nights away at short notice (could be up to 4 nights a week) around the UK and Ireland. Only Monday- Friday, no weekend work.
