Our client is a leading food manufacturing company, the site is part of a larger group, with sites throughout Europe. Due to growth and further expansion within the factory, they are looking for a multi-skilled shift engineer to join their team.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Carry out electrical & mechanical fault finding, PPM's, repairs and of all site food production & packaging machinery
- Electrical & mechanical fault finding & repairs
- Projects & continuous improvement work
- Working on hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, bearings, shafts, drives, sensors, chains
- PLC - electrical fault finding - Siemens & Allen Bradley
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Ideally a multi-skilled maintenance engineer - either mechanical or electrical biased
- PLC - electrical fault finding skills
- Must have worked in some form of fast-paced manufacturing - ideally food
- Dealt with hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, sensors, drives, gearboxes, bearings
- Must have completed some form of apprenticeship - NVQ Level 3 or higher
- 17thor 18th Edition beneficial
- Need to be able to follow electrical diagrams
- Attitude and team fit important - willing to get involved and help in all areas
- Beneficial if can do mechanical fabrication, fitting, machining
