Mechanical Technician
Salary: basic salary of up to £31,000 / £32,000

Mechanical Technician
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Technician to join a successful medical engineering and manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Aylesbury.
The Mechanical Assembly Technician will work a 37-hour week and will report directly into the Production Manager. You will be ensuring all of the company products are built correctly, with the use of engineering drawings and instructions, in a timely, and quality-focused manner.
We currently have multiple positions open, for mechanical assembly technicians, and also for repairs focused mechanical technicians. You will be required to do assembly with occasional test, fault finding and repairs on their products. The products are a mix of small, low-tolerance rotating mechanisms and electronics - experienced in mechanics is most important but any electronics experience is very helpful (they will train it if needed).
In terms of requirements for this mechanical technician role, they are looking for keen and attentive individuals who are looking to accelerate their learning and skill set. You will need to have good timekeeping skills, a good communicator and of course have a strong engineering and technical background.
The business are open to hearing from individuals who are very experienced, but also love to hear from applicants who have limited commercial experience but a passion for technology, perhaps tinkering around with cars in their spare time, doing Raspberry Pi projects, building computers etc.
Mechanical Technician Requirements
- Experience working in a manufacturing / production environment
- Technical engineering knowledge or experience
- A formal technical education
- Good electronic, electrical and mechanical engineering skills and experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to keep clear, accurate and traceable records for all products dealt with
- Driven and reliable
