We want to speak to individuals who are from a diverse range of backgrounds, looking to start a new career journey.

As a Trainee, you will be enrolled in a dedicated 2-3 year training programme, supported by line managers and mentors. The training programme is a combination of training sessions and on-the-job training within the operational E&I department. We will support you to develop the necessary competences to successfully pass the assessments for the NVQ qualification.

How you’ll support us on our mission to keep people safe and warm…

  • Working on electrical and instrumentation equipment and installations connected with gas supplies
  • Installation, commissioning, maintenance, fault finding and repair
  • Working on telemetry & electrical systems, pressure and flow monitoring, gas quality systems, safety systems, power supply & generation

What you’ll need

  • You have high enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
  • A logical approach to fault finding and problem solving
  • Highly motivated, organised and able to work well to target and deadlines
  • Able to think on your feet whilst always being safety aware.
  • Interested in developing your career within the gas network industry
  • Flexibility in terms of hours of work (standby rota) and for travel
  • Some previous electrical / electronic experience and/or qualifications are desirable but not essential
  • Experience of working in process engineering fields also desirable but not essential
  • A full clean driving license or working towards your license
