Your new role

This senior role requires you to work closely with the CIO as one of their trusted partners in leading this company to become a business-orientated organisation.

You will provide leadership for cross-functional management of information and technology across the business. You will oversee functions such as technology governance, performance management, reporting and the definition of technology ways of working. You will also ensure that the organisation operates correctly through strategy and governance, as well as organisational and operational model development and performance management.

Financial Management:

  • Support in managing the annual budget covering People and 3rd party spend (2024 £44.5m).
  • Support preparation, review and consolidation of business plans and budgets.
  • May regularly review costs and cost structures for services and products so that the financial implications of projects and activities are communicated to the business executives.

Performance Management:

  • Support in developing and managing strategic vendor and partnership relationships (internally and externally).
  • Work in partnership with HR business partners on the workforce strategy development and management, including the sourcing, training, and development of staff.
  • Establish and implement continuous improvement programs for the departments making up the organisation.

Governance:

  • Partners with the CIO in driving focus and prioritisation through establishing strategic planning and governance principles and processes.
  • Oversees the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, methodologies, and governance - as well as performance management frameworks and metrics - to ensure the organisation delivers value to the business
  • Produce monthly Exec reporting across the function and support the CIO in delivering their updates.
  • Co-ordinate monthly operations meeting data for each function to support operational performance reporting and continual service improvement activities
