We are working with a well-established planning and heritage consultancy seeking a Heritage Consultant to join their team. This role offers the chance to work on diverse projects, advising clients on heritage and archaeological matters while ensuring compliance with planning policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert heritage and archaeology advice

  • Prepare Heritage Statements and Impact Assessments

  • Assess the significance of historic buildings and landscapes

  • Liaise with planning authorities and stakeholders

  • Conduct site visits and heritage appraisals

  • Support clients through the planning process

What We're Looking For:
  • Degree in Archaeology, Architecture, Planning, or related field

  • Knowledge of UK heritage legislation (Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990, NPPF)

  • Experience in heritage assessments and planning consultancy

  • Strong communication and analytical skills

  • Membership of CIfA or IHBC (desirable)
