This could be a perfect stepping stone role for an ambitious, highly talented and commercial minded finance professional in a fast growing business.

The role:

We are looking to hire a talented and ambitious finance professional to own and control all elements of the finance function across two companies.

We will provide you with full induction and support. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing two permanent staff and reporting direct every week to the Board.  You will form part of a management team of three, sitting below the Board.

Your role will be to produce monthly management accounts promptly and accurately, comment on areas of weakness and make recommendations, manage the team to deliver what the business requires, ensure all finance functions are covered at all points in the year, optimise use of cash surpluses, control our fixed asset register, work with other managers in the business to drive continuous improvement and aid communication, bring in and adopt new technology, enable excellent support to the sales team. This role is critically important to the company to ensure a strong grip on finance. We anticipate a 40% expansion in 2025.

A friendly, knowledgeable and confident communicator needed.

You will be based in our Wingrave office, working under an experienced finance director able to guide you.

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in a commercial role is essential

  • Fantastic verbal communication skills – listening, processing information, explaining is essential, as is a can-do attitude.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to write clear and accurate emails to directors and sales staff is essential.
  • You will bring energy, enthusiasm and great organisation to the role.
  • Excellent Excel and Xero skills
  • The ability to adopt and get the best from new technology
