Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Truck Operator (FLT) to join our client’s team in Aylesbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts, ensuring that all materials are handled and stored appropriately. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and production areas.

- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of forklifts, ensuring they are in good working condition.

- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

- Assist with inventory management, including the accurate recording and tracking of materials.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the proper storage of materials and equipment.

- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Valid forklift license and certification.

- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.

- Ability to operate various types of forklifts, including counterbalance and reach trucks.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

- Commitment to health and safety standards.

Preferred Skills:

- Knowledge of basic maintenance and troubleshooting of forklifts.

- Experience with computerized inventory systems.

- Familiarity with handling hazardous materials.
