An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Junior Merchandiser to join a thriving fashion retailer in their head office team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the department's performance by managing stock availability and maximising sales opportunities.

Description

Sales Analysis & Reporting:

  • Analysing sales performance and providing actionable insights
  • Supporting with analysis for strategy and adhoc requests
  • Reviewing stock performance and proposing re-orders or markdowns

Trading & Market Insights:

  • Monitoring customer feedback, trends, and competitor activity
  • Completing Size Ratios to optimise sales
  • Supporting department KPIs to maximise sales and profit

Stock Management:

  • Ensuring accurate stock placement and delivery schedules
  • Reviewing and managing shipments with 3PL partners
  • Collaborating with various teams to avoid stockouts or overstock

Product Data Management:

  • Overseeing the accuracy and management of POs and product data
  • Maintaining strong supplier relationships and communication
  • Assisting in the implementation of new product lifecycle management processes

Profile

A successful Assistant Merchandiser should have the below:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Fashion Merchandising with stock management and sales analysis experience
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel; Shopify knowledge preferred
  • Analytical Skills: Strong numerical skills and ability to interpret data
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across functions
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail in managing orders and invoicing
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Organisational Skills: Effective time management and prioritisation in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaboration: Experience working cross-functionally
  • Adaptability: Proactive approach to managing workload and embracing changes in processes
