Our client is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to supportthe Site Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a residential housing construction site. They ensure that all work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves supervising trades, ensuring health and safety compliance, and coordinating with suppliers and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Site Manager in overseeing all aspects of residential construction projects.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, labourers, and trades to ensure that work is completed efficiently and to high standards.
  • Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and health and safety regulations.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations on-site, conducting regular checks and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Ensure all workers follow safety protocols, and that personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn as required.
  • Keep the site organized and safe, including proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out to the highest quality standards, meeting project specifications and client expectations.
  • Conduct inspections of completed work, identifying any defects or areas for improvement.
  • Assist with snagging and handover processes, ensuring any outstanding work is addressed.
  • Work with the Site Manager to develop and maintain project schedules.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and ensure that resources are available as needed.
  • Support in resolving any issues that may affect project timelines, including delays, supply shortages, or weather disruptions.
  • Act as a point of contact for subcontractors, suppliers, and the client on behalf of the Site Manager.
  • Ensure that site paperwork, including health and safety records, timesheets, and delivery notes, is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Site Manager with keeping daily logs and reports of site activities
