- Develop and implement the payroll commercial strategy, ensuring that all traded activities provide value.
- Oversee the delivery of a legally compliant and efficient payroll service, processing payments for approximately 33,000 individuals across 40 different customers.
- Manage the MHR HR and payroll system contract to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain the MHR system hierarchy to support and enhance organisational operations.
- Oversee the management of other workforce-related systems, including the CRM system (Hornbill) and telephony system (Five9).
- Deliver proactive and responsive customer service, ensuring queries are resolved promptly and efficiently at the first point of contact where possible.
- Lead the service improvement team and oversee data and intranet requirements for the wider workforce service, collaborating with the Business Intelligence team on data and insight needs.
- Manage ongoing pension administration for multiple schemes, including LGPS, Teaching, and NHS pensions.
- A CIPD Level 7 qualification is essential.
- Substantial experience of working at a senior level in HR.
- Proven ability to drive organisational performance through change.
- Leading / coordinating projects defining requirements, with developed skills in project management.
- Experience of running a busy payroll function and the use of MHR.
