Are you ready to lead and inspire in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment? As a hands-on Team Manager with this award-winning, fast-growing business, youll oversee all activities effectively on your shift. Youll train and manage a small team, using your initiative to solve on the spot issues as a first point of contact and driving positive change to deliver service excellence for all customers.

What Youll Do:

  • Optimise Operations: Using the Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensure peak efficiency to deliver customer satisfaction at all times.
  • Lead the Team: Train, manage, and motivate your warehouse team to solve daily operational challenges while achieving both short- and long-term performance targets.
  • Operational Planning: Review and prepare workflows, staffing and space requirements, equipment layout to ensure productivity, quality and customer service standards are met.
  • Oversee Daily Tasks: Supervise tasks including:
    • Ensuring parcels and pallets are prepared for collection
    • Managing loading and unloading of vehicles
    • Managing inbound stock put away
    • Consolidation and stock transfers
    • Providing end of shift handover reporting
    • Secure closure of the facility
  • Performance Management: Conduct reviews, manage attendance, and oversee staff development, investigations, and disciplinaries.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with other managers, the stock control team and account managers, to meet operational goals and swiftly resolve issues.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure the team operates in a safe and compliant environment by enforcing standards and completing daily MHE checks.

What Were Looking For:

  • Proven people management skills and abilities in a similar environment youll enjoy managing, coaching and mentoring others to deliver excellence.
  • A natural leader with the ability to delegate to team members and deliver frequent direct feedback.
  • Knowledge of warehouse procedures and policies.
  • MHE fleet management and knowledge
  • MHE licenses Counterbalance, PPT, ideally VNA / Aisle Master
  • Able to work well under pressure and manage effectively to tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures for warehouse operations.
  • Strong tech and system skills ideally previous WMS experience.
  • Great problem-solving abilities and confidence in decision-making.
  • A continuous improvement mindset.
