Position Overview:

We are looking for a motivated trainee with SolidWorks CAD experience and an interest in process engineering and technical procurement. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to work in production engineering while supporting our technical procurement functions within a dynamic and innovative company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SolidWorks Design & Modelling: Create and assist with stage drawings and manufacturing layouts.

  • Technical Procurement: Build relationships with suppliers, manage purchase orders, track costs, and adapt to market changes.

  • Process Engineering: Collaborate on production readiness studies, support feasibility analysis, and improve manufacturing processes.

  • Quotation & Procurement Support: Assist in providing quotations for materials and support engineering decision-making.

  • Production Readiness Studies (PRS): Help ensure components are production-ready with comprehensive documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: min 2 years experience using SolidWorks designing and modelling; interest in technical procurement is highly desirable.

  • Education: A degree or diploma in mechanical or manufacturing engineering is preferred.

  • Technical Skills: Understanding of machining and MRP systems is a plus.

  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, adaptability, and proactive problem-solving.
