We are currently recruiting for a Claims Technician on behalf of our client, one of the UK's leading claims management companies with a growing reputation in the market.

The purpose of the role is to effectively and efficiently handle Property Claims or Building Repairs from instruction to completion of the works, ensuring that all parties are fully up-to-date on the progress of the claim at all times, with claims costs controlled.

Ideally, candidates will be fully office based, but hybrid working options (with a minimum of 3 days per week at the company's Buckinghamshire office) will be considered for candidates with claims handling experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Claims Opening - Secondary Notification of Loss.
  • Supplier allocation.
  • Inbound and outbound call handling.
  • First point of contact for customers.
  • Effective customer / insurer communication.
  • Ensuring Service Level Agreements are adhered to on all claims.
  • Authorisation of Property Insurance Claims.
  • Applying effective cost control.
  • Handling low level complaints.
  • Ensuring data is handled responsibly and in compliance with the Data Protection Act.
  • Supply Chain Compliance and database administration.

Key Requirements

  • Previous Property / Home Insurance claims handling experience is preferred, but not essential. However, experience within a customer service focused role is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a strong customer focus.
  • Candidates will ideally be Cert CII qualified.
