The Role:

We’re looking for an Equine Claims Specialist to join our team at Agria Pet where you’ll be responsible for validating and assessing a variety of claims, accurately and efficiently, across a wide range of products.

This role sits at the forefront of ensuring pet owners receive support when they need it most, so you’ll need a passion for providing fantastic customer service!

You'll be seen as the "go to" equine support for our teams that sit outside of Claims, so solid equine knowledge is essential.

We have a hybrid approach to work and all attend the Aylesbury office every Wednesday.

The start date for this role is Monday 28th April and you will be required to attend a two week induction in the Aylesbury office when you start. You must be able to commit to this arrangement and start date in order to be considered for this role.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Undertakes the quality checking of the Equine claims department and any work undertaken on behalf of claims
  • Review clinical histories and place exclusions as necessary on equine policies
  • Manage all varieties of equine team queries
  • Manage the equine mailboxes both external and internal
  • Train and support other Claims Assessors with complex equine queries
  • Investigates and resolves equine team complaints, appeals and errors.
  • Assess and complete the pre-authorisation of equine claims.
  • Handle all calls efficiently and professionally to agreed service standards.

What we’re looking for:

  • Ideally a qualified equine veterinary nurse, or prior experience of working in the equine space in some capacity
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Clear communicator, both verbal and written
  • Confident decision maker who can work from own initiative.
  • Effective questioning and listening skills, with the ability to quickly assimilate and retain detailed information.
  • A passion for pets!
