PURPOSE OF ROLE

 An experienced insurance professional is needed to join a respected brokerage as a Private Clients Account Handler. This role is ideal for someone with strong account handling skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service.

You will support the Private Clients Team in managing and broking both new and existing business within their household and motor division. 

EXPERIENCE 

  • A minimum of two years' experience as an Account Handler within an insurance brokerage.
  • Experience handling Personal Lines / High Net Worth (HNW) insurance products
  • Strong knowledge of insurance markets with existing insurer relationships
  • Risk-aware when handling customer information

SKILLS 

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong customer service focus with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to take initiative and support team members proactively
  • Computer literacy, with experience using Acturis preferred

DAY-TO-DAY 

  • Achieve targets, plans, and budgets relevant to your role, contributing to the overall team performance
  • Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure their insurance needs are met and service levels are upheld
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and Handlers to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Maintain professional, clear, and complete client records, ensuring continuity when absent
  • Participate in client meetings, renewals, appraisals, and service meetings
  • Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and internal company policies, adhering to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and industry knowledge
