Family Solicitor

Annual Salary: £45k - £55k p/annum (negotiable, doe)

Location: Buckinghamshire

Job Type: Full-time, site based

Reed Legal are recruiting for an experienced Family Solicitor with at least 5 years of Family Law experience to join our client’s friendly and supportive team. This is a great opportunity to further your career, with a clear path to becoming the Head of the Department and possible progression to Partnership.

Responsibilities in the role

  • The Family Solicitor will manage a varied caseload of Family Law matters, including Divorce, Financial matters arising from divorce, Separation, Cohabitation, Pre and Post Nuptial Agreements, Family Law Act Matters and Private Children Act Matters.
  • Work closely with partners of the firm and a team of experienced Family Lawyers and support staff.
  • Consult with clients to assess and manage their legal needs effectively.
  • Prepare legal documents, conduct legal research, and represent clients in court as needed.
  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients, ensuring their best interests are represented.
  • Take part in the development and growth of the department by taking on complex cases and mentoring junior solicitors.

Skills & Qualifications required:

  • A qualified solicitor with a valid practising certificate.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Family Law (Not 5 years PQE, 5 years within Family Law)
  • Excellent knowledge of Matrimonial Law and Children Act Law.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and critical thinking abilities.
  • Experience in court hearings and advocacy (advantageous)
  • Excellent work ethic, being able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Motivated to advance in career, including taking on leadership roles within the department.
