Reed Legal are recruiting for a Legal Secretary to join our client's Property Department. Previous legal experience in residential and / or commercial property is preferred. This role is best suited to someone looking for a career as a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant. 

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Prepare and typing correspondence, documents, and forms with high accuracy.
  • Manage matter files while ensuring compliance with file management.
  • Handle client correspondence and preparing bills as directed by fee earners through phone, face-to-face and email interactions.
  • Prepare documentation for both commercial and residential property transactions.
  • Utilise tools such as LMS, Lender Exchange, and other lender management tools.
  • Conduct ID verification and anti-money laundering compliance checks.
  • Use the Land Registry portal to obtain documentation and submit registration applications.
  • Prepare Stamp Duty Returns and submit returns using the HMRC portal.
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
  • Experience with case management software like BigHand is preferred but not essential.
  • Organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Competent in all MS Office packages.
  • Good document preparation skills.
  • Self-motivated, strong communicator, and able to work independently.
