We are seeking a dedicated Legal Secretary to join our team. This role involves a wide range of administrative duties to support our legal staff. If you are organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently, we encourage you to apply.
Day-to-day of the role:- Preparing client correspondence and documents as instructed by a Solicitor/Conveyancer through audio typing.
- Opening new files and sending client care letters.
- Collating contract packs and ordering searches.
- Submitting Land Registry applications and obtaining Land Registry documents.
- Handling printing, billing, photocopying, filing, closing, storage, and retrieval of client files.
- Maintaining calendars and managing diaries.
- Assisting with incoming post and telephone enquiries or taking messages for colleagues.
- Engaging with clients, estate agents, and other legal professionals to provide updates and aid with enquiries.
- Occasionally covering reception duties.
- Experience if audio typing is essential
- Experience of working in a law firm is essential
- Organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage and meet deadlines.
- Competent in all MS Office packages.
- Good document preparation skills.
- Self-motivated, strong communicator, and able to work independently
- Training will be given in this role.
