My client is actively seeking an experienced Operations Manager to become an integral part of their management team, located near Thame. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with company directors and make a meaningful impact on the organisation.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in distribution and stock management who excels in a diverse range of operational responsibilities - ranging from facilities and IT management to negotiation, logistics, and supplier relations. If you have experience with compliance, that’s an added bonus!

In return for your expertise, you will enjoy a competitive benefits package that includes a discretionary bonus, a generous 7% pension contribution, and a holiday entitlement that starts at 20 days and increases to 25 days. The working hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. The company currently embraces a hybrid working model, allowing two days per week from home, with plans to transition to a full office presence. Salary is £30,000-£35,000 DOE.

Duties include:

  • Managing stock levels, including fast-moving high demand items
  • Negotiating contracts to secure competitive rates and quality service
  • Overseeing the general management and maintenance of all company facilities
  • Work closely with the management team to make data-driven decisions
  • Maintain oversight of all operational costs

Essential skills and experience:

  • Prior stock management for assembly and distribution operations
  • Microsoft 365
  • Previous operational experience

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Dynamics Business Central
  • Compliance / ISO 9001
  • Health and Safety
