A position has arisen for a Mechanical Team Leader within a highly regarded organisation based in Buckinghamshire on a temporary – permanent contract. This role is responsible for supporting the Mechanical trades operations and maintenance work across the sites.

Your duties will include:

  • Deputising for the Mechanical Manager regarding line management of the operational mechanical  staff
  • Supervising trade works applicable to mechanical disciplines, i.e. ventilation, ductwork, extracts, heating, cooling/chiller, plumbing and water
  • Assisting with the recruitment and selection of staff
  • Managing the completion all report sheets and test certificates as necessary
  • Supervising works carried out in hazardous areas taking all safety measures to prevent danger, avoid injury and prevent damage to equipment
  • Ensuring risk assessments are completed as appropriate
  • Following detailed engineering drawings and specifications; interpret detailed building services drawings and specifications to instruct others and advise
  • Planning maintenance activities, (including staff rota’s and overtime works) allocating staff and physical resources
  • Operating the Trusts labour control scheme, including completion of all paperwork required of the scheme. (Including completion of all job dockets and time sheets)

The successful candidate should have:

  • You must have a degree in Building Services/Mechanical Engineering, related discipline or equivalent experience
  • You must have previous experience of working within commercial environments
  • You must have technical maintenance knowledge
